Why the Rlaarlo XDX Is Worth the Wait (Even Though Their Shipping Is a Disaster)
I’m a massive Rlaarlo fan. The second the XDX got announced, it was an instant buy for me. Why? It packed in every single feature I wanted to put into my Yokomo RD 2.0—especially that LSD transmission. In fact, I was already looking at buying a Yokomo SD just to get the upgrade parts.
If you aren’t familiar with them, Rlaarlo consistently pushes out quality, well-thought-out RC cars. I already own the Rlaarlo XTS-F10 Carbon Edition rally car, and it's easily one of my favorites to date.
But—and this is a huge but—they completely dropped the ball on shipping.
When you order from Rlaarlo, international tracking practically vanishes, leaving you in the dark wondering if your car is ever going to show up. I follow countless Facebook groups, and the consensus is universal: their shipping sucks. For weeks, all I saw was "shipping label created." Fortunately, it finally updated yesterday and is set to arrive this Tuesday.
Rlaarlo seriously botched this rollout. I have it on good authority that they ran into customs issues, but their communication was absolute silence. Meanwhile, every YouTube influencer had their car early, while those of us who pre-ordered and bought the second the sales page went live during their livestream were left hanging.
Why All the Hype?
Rlaarlo is marketing this as a "V4," even though there never was a V1, V2, or V3. Semantics aside, they knocked it out of the park with the features. Out of the box, you get a full roll cage, lights, a detailed dash, and a working e-brake.
Should You Get One?
Yes. This is the 2026 out-of-the-box RC drift car to beat. I know the HD10 exists, but it doesn't touch the XDX's roll cage, LSD, and next-level body and lighting detail.
My Rlaarlo XDX lands this Tuesday, and I can't wait to put it through its paces.
