Calling Android Beta Testers: Test the RC Drift Empire Mobile App!
I'm looking for Android users to test the RC Drift Empire mobile app at real tracks and home spots. Fill out the quick sign-up form below—once accepted, I'll send you a Google Drive link with the beta build so you can test trackside.
Hey everyone, Bryan here. When you are standing by the track barriers or wrenching on your chassis at a pit table, opening a laptop is the last thing you want to do. We built the RC Drift Empire Mobile App (rcdriftMobile) so you can carry your garage, tuning calculators, track directory, and the whole drift community right in your pocket.
Today, I'm officially looking for Android users to jump into our private beta test! Whether you run tandem battles at your local track every weekend or slide on P-tile in your garage on a weeknight, I want to see how the app feels on real Android phones in actual trackside conditions.
Check out the quick sign-up form right below. When you submit your info, it goes straight to my inbox at [email protected]. Once you are accepted into the beta test, I will send you a Google Drive link to download the APK test build so you can install it and start testing.
Prerequisites
- An Android phone or tablet running Android 8.0 (Oreo) or newer.
- An active (free) RC Drift Empire driver account.
- About 65 MB of storage space for the installation file.
How the Beta Test Works (Step-by-Step)
Because this is a private test build ahead of our public Google Play Store launch, we are rolling out access in batches:
- Sign up using the form above: Let me know your phone model, Android version, home track or regular drift spot, and what chassis you run.
- Receive your Google Drive link: Once you're accepted, I will email you a private Google Drive link from [email protected] with the beta APK file.
- Download and install on your phone: Open the Google Drive link directly on your Android phone and download the file. When you open the download, Android will prompt you to allow installs from Drive or your browser (a standard 1-tap setting called "Install unknown apps"). Tap Settings, switch on Allow from this source, and tap Install.
- Launch and sign in: Once installed, tap Open, sign in with your RC Drift Empire credentials, and you're ready to roll!
App Feature Tour: Every Screen From Drivers to Garage
Here is what you will find inside the mobile app right now:
1. Drivers Directory & Social Feed
Keep up with fellow drifters on the go. View the drivers directory, sort by most followed or newest, search by driver handle or racer number (#066, #777, etc.), and check the activity feed for newly shared setups from drivers you follow.
2. Virtual Garage & My Setups
Your garage is your home base in the pits. Access your driver profile, manage your primary chassis, view your setup sheets, and jump straight into our suite of digital tuning tools.
3. Tracks Locator & GPS Distance
Finding a track has never been easier. The app uses your phone's GPS to calculate exact mileage to nearby drift venues. Filter tracks by radius (5 mi, 10 mi, 20 mi, or any) and surface type (P-Tile, Carpet, Concrete), and view track hours and directions before packing your pit bag.
4. Practice Meetups & Competition Calendar
Never miss a weekly practice night or a regional competition. Browse upcoming sessions at your local track, see event schedules, and check dates and formats on your phone.
5. The Pit Community Q&A
Running into an unexpected setup issue at the track? Open The Pit from the bottom bar to search tuning questions, post troubleshooting requests about your chassis, and see your community points and accepted answers.
6. Camera-guided Toe Quick Check
Need to double-check your front toe-out or rear toe-in without pulling out setup gauges? The Toe Check tool uses your phone's camera with high-contrast alignment lines and fine-tune sliders. Align the center dashed line with your chassis spine to verify wheel angles at a glance.
